UPW here
is some background of a few of our key players ....
MARIO SAVOLDI,
Director - Wrestling Operations
The Savoldi name has a long and proud history in American wrestling. Mario,
following in the footsteps of his father Angelo Savoldi, is a 40 year veteran of
the industry, working his way up from ring crew member to WWF
referee and agent. He handled promotions for the WWF
as well as television events.
Mario and Angelo co-founded UPW
in the early 80's as ICW
concentrating on
international promotions and they continue to have a working relationship with every
major wrestling organization in the world.
Mario's outstanding reputation and life long experience, combined with his
intimate knowledge of the wrestling industry, make him the perfect choice to
lead our team of professionals.
THOMAS FORNINI,
Talent Coordinator and Scout
Tom Fornini has developed his keen eye for talent over a long career in
the wrestling business while working for both the WWF
and WCW. His formidable
ability to recognize and develop raw talent is a welcome addition to UPW.
JAMES ROSIN,
Head of Production
For more than 25 years Jim Rosin has written, produced and directed network
television programming. He has overseen every stage of production from the
initial concept to the final edit. His attention to detail guarantees only
quality programming.
WILLIAM APTER,
Consultant
Bill brings his insider's knowledge of wrestling to UPW.
He is currently the editor-in-chief of "WOW
Wrestling Magazine" as well as
the former senior editor of "Pro
Wrestling Illustrated Magazine". His
experience and his contacts in all aspects of professional wrestling are
invaluable to our organization.
BRIAN WEBSTER,
Chief Writer
Brian began his career as an announcer and
copywriter for a radio station near Boston, MA . He joined the UPW
in 1991 (then ICW)
as an announcer and associate producer. He
currently supervises all scripts, wrestler promotions, advertising copy and
announcer copy.
JOHN FASSETT,
Technical Advisor
John's wealth of experience in technical
advising, lighting combined with his knowledge of both pre and post production
are a most welcomed addition to UPW.
